Steering a Parked Car

Can't Steer a Parked Car

Have you ever tried steering a parked car? Even if your navigation is set, your car is in perfect mechanical shape, and your wheels are facing the right direction you cannot get to your destination without moving.

Starting the car and putting it in drive is the most crucial part of the trip because all else depends on this single action.

Same is true for for our lives. Simply STARTING is the biggest step to accomplishment. Once you are moving and pick up speed, turning becomes easier, the destination comes closer and everything starts working out. If you miss a turn, course correct and you are back on track.

Trouble arises, though, when the momentum stops. When your engine breaks down, you run out of gas, or you get a flat and you stop moving. The momentum stops, the destination is still far away, and now you are stuck. Not moving. Still. The only choice is to keep going because you have to reach that destination. The sooner you get moving again the better.

You will reach road blocks on your life’s journey. You will be held up, stuck, broken down. The secret is to start moving as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the harder it becomes to restart. You have already come so far, you are almost there, just keep moving.

But I am living, growing older, aren’t I moving? Maybe. That’s for you to answer. Even wanderers move, hoping to arrive somewhere at sometime. But what’s their goal? Do they have a time limit? Where’s their destination? Do they have a direction? They MIGHT arrive somewhere. They MIGHT find their destination. Sometime just moving aimlessly is considered moving

Put it in gear and go.
